2.30 to 4.00 pm The power of shen-influences & the way it works“ – Alexandra KNAUER
In TCM we diagnostically determine the state of Shen and can draw conclusions about the body as well. But how strong is the influence of the Shen on the body and when does the body affect the psyche? In daily practice, this is often the question of the hen and the egg for therapists. Through a holistic view, we know that climate, environment, nutrition, sleep and the social environment influence the organism. If we also consider that emotions can have both a positive and a negative effect on bodily functions and healing processes, this has great therapeutic relevance .A large-scale study shows how strongly the emotional situation correlates with physical well-being. Based on a standardized analysis, we gained insight into whether a person's condition is influenced more by diet or mental activity. With these findings, we are setting new standards not only in nutritional advice
4.30 to 6.00 pm: Integrative nutritional therapy for Shen disorders – Vera SPLINTER
The CM summarizes various psycho-emotional complaints with the term Shen disorders. The spectrum ranges from mild mood swings with sleep disorders up to severe mental illnesses. The symptoms are manifold.
Relevant for TCM therapy is the classification of Shen disorders into diverse patterns. Nutrition therapy picks up this differentiation and is able to support the treatment, especially in the case of weakness patterns. Selected recipes for individual nutritional therapy, helpful foods and current research results will be presented in this lecture.
